About Steve
I commenced training at Kings College Hospital in 1985, graduating with distinction in 1988.
I worked full-time in the NHS until 1996 when I moved into private practice. In addition to work within my own clinics I have sub-contracted my services to various other organisations, working for several years as Occupational Health Physiotherapist to the Metropolitan Police, and for 11 years as a physiotherapist in a number of HM Prisons.

I have also worked for a time on Harley Street, and now work three half days a week as an occupational health physiotherapist serving a number of steel works which remain in Sheffield's East End.

Over this period I have undertaken a wide variety of post-graduate training, becoming skilled in spinal manipulation. I have been practising acupuncture for over 20 years, and also qualified as a psychotherapist (MHGI) in 2007.

Outside of work I participate in a number of sports ;

I either run or cycle every day, and have completed a number of full marathons (best time 3 hours 17 minutes - Snowdonia Marathon 2010) and Category A fell races.
I am familiar with weight-training and circuit training techniques, and have a good grasp of the basics of both boxing and martial arts (Wing Chun).
As well as offering treatment for all sports injuries, which I have a particular interest in, I can advise re personal training, diet, and could if requested accompany novices on guided fell runs or mountain bike rides, as I have a good knowledge of the Eastern side of the Dark Peak.

If further advice or sports coaching is required I have excellent links with local body-building gyms and boxing gyms.
